With
Love from Ireland at Christmas.
We are deeply privileged to have such a large and wonderful "family."
For many of us 2008 has been a difficult year and yet we have
proved God's goodness and grace day after day. Our health remains
reasonably stable though both of us are very tired. Extra family
responsibilities keep us active and watchful and we appreciate
your prayerful support. We continue to take a deep interest in
you all even if we are not in touch so often as in years gone
bye. We never seem to have the time and strength to do all we
want to do, but our heavenly Father reminds us that we are to
minister in the strength He supplies.
2hearts has brought us into touch with so many very dear friends
who have ministered to our own souls. From the bottom of my heart
we say "thank you".
For
some, this Christmas will mean a great emptiness;
others face anxiety and uncertainty, not knowing what the future
holds for us and our loved ones; for others
this Season will be
very special. We thank God for His mercy and grace to us all and
we resolve to continue to trust Him in 2009.
Our
prayer is that you will know the joy of the Lord Jesus this Christmas.
He came to be our Saviour. We are amazed that He should love us
so much, that He should come to die for our sin; that He should
want to save us. What love, what mercy and what grace! We know
our future is safe in His hands. Trusting Him brings such joy
and peace.
Whatever
you face this Christmas, we are praying that you might know joy
from Him who came to save us.
We wish you a very, very blessed Christmas.
much
love,
David
and Joanna
