Hi
Sorry it has been a while since I have updated. I have been
so busy with a almost 3 year old. Mackenzie has grown so fast
over the past year. I cant believe she is almost 3 years old.
When I think about the past 3 years and how much we have been
through. Makes me think that I'm so lucky that I have this
beautiful little girl to show for. I think god everyday the
gift that he has given me. Not only with just Kenzie but for
my other 2 kids and the one that is on her way.
Kenzie is still getting her g-tube feedings and growing everyday.
She is about 24 pounds and is finally on the growth chart,
barely. She is so stubborn that she likes to fight you when
you try to tell her no or put her in time out. We are still
working on speech therapy and soon will be doing something
different. She is almost 3 so that means its time for pre
school. Its time for us to decide on what kind of service
we want for her. I'm hoping I can do the right thing for her.
It seems scary for me to send her to school. I'm always afraid
shes going to get hurt or need me and I wont be there to help
even though I'm a phone call away.
We are also now expecting another new one. She is due in Dec.
We had a fetal echo done about a month ago and it showed that
the baby has a four chamber heart. Also all the test show
that the baby is healthy. We still wont know until she decides
to come into this world.
Please pray for all of us on having a healthy baby and Kenzies
speech therapy. Thank you for every bodies thoughts and prayers.

Just
to let everybody know. Kenzie is doing very good. She has made
it to 22 pounds and is eating more by mouth. She has turned
into a typical 2 year old into everything. If she doesnt get
what she wants she throws a fit. Her main problem is right now
is not communicating so we have been working with signing and
her therapy is wanting to start something that has to do with
pictures. She will eventually be able to tell us what she wants
by pointing at a picture. Please pray that we can start communicating
with her. It is very hard to be able to tell what she wants
when she just wines and points. I sent a couple of new pictures
for you hope you got them. Let me know if you didnt. Thanks
to everybody for your thought and prayers.

Hi
everybody,
Kenzie is growing up quick and in her terrible 2 stage. Into
everything and is doing great. She just had tubes put in on
the 22nd of Dec. and is getting ready for a heart cath. on the
17th of Jan. We just had our Christmas and she really liked
unwrapping her presents and playing with her new toys. Sorry
I havent updated for a while. We have been very busy with everything.

Hi
everybody! I justed wanted to let you know how Mackenzie is
doing. She is eating everything you can think of. She is walking
and trying to run. We are getting ready to go see the cardiologist
today. I hoping we have good news there. She is also getting
a hearing aid today for the left ear. Please pray for us. Getting
a hearing aid is a big adjustment for her and us. At the same
time I'm worried about it and then I'm happy that she is going
to be able to start hearing us. Thanks for all your thoughts
and prayers.

I'm so sorry for the late updates but having a busy baby like
Mackenzie it is hard to get away. She is doing awesome walking
and into everything she can get her hands on. Yes she finally
started walking a month ago.
So far she's doing good on the heart situation although there
is a chance for another heart cath in the future. Her doctor
is trying to hold that off until after the first of the year.
We did find out that Mackenzie has a slight hearing loss. She
is getting a hearing aide for the left ear to help her be able
to hear somewhat normally.
I just want everybody to know that I think I have a very smart
baby. I asked her to turn the tv off and guess what she did
it. Then she clapped because she knew she did something good.
Mackenzie is also going to start dance classes this Aug. She
likes to dance and I know she will do good.
She is also starting to eat more and more by herself. Although
we still have to do tube feedings. She is still on a continous
feeding at night and then she gets only two feeding during the
day by the tube. The doctor wants to try to take her off the
feedings completetly during the day eventually. Please pray
that she continues to gain weight since we have had problems
with that in the past.
Thankyou everybody for your thought and prayers.

Mackenzie is doing really good. She has gained some weight and
has made it to almost 18 pounds. She is also eating some food
and really likes to eat baby food and does not like baby food
at all. Its funny to watch because when you are eating she thinks
that she has to have what you are eating. I'm so glad she actually
wants to eat.
She has also started crawling and pulling herself up to things
and walking around stuff. We also had a test to see how delayed
she was and guess what she is only 7% delayed that made me very
happy. Only problem is that they said if she isn't walking by
18 months then we need to test again. I don't think we will
have a problem with that she is already trying to walk.
On her heart they are wanting to hold off on a heart cath for
a while. We are trying to hold off until the first of next year
if possible. So far she does have some pressure on the right
side and her heart is a little bit enlarged but they just want
to follow it closely.

Mackenzie had her heart cath. on Jan 27th. She is still doing
really good and is still gaining weight. She has also learned
how to sit up on her own, and is almost crawling. Mackenzie
has come along way. Thank you for all the prayers.

Mackenzie
is now weighing in at 14 lbs 8 oz. She is going in for another
heart cath. in about another month. She is actually doing very
good. Mackenzie has finally learned how to sit up on her own
and is rolling everywhere. She has figured out how to get from
one side of the room to the other side. Its so funny to watch.
Thanks so much for everybody's prayers and support. It has really
helped.

Mackenzie is gaining weight. She started out at 11 lbs 14 1/2
oz. Now her weight is 12 lbs 13 oz. She seems to be going back
and forth from 12 to 13 lbs right now. Thank you for all the
prayers; we need them to stay out of the hospital.

Doctors said today they want to put Mackenzie in the hospital
in 2 weeks if she does not gain weight. She is now on a continous
feed.
Mackenzie
had her first open heart surgery when she was three weeks old.
She was also diagnosed with Di
George Syndome. Since then Mackenzie has had a G-Tube put
in and a heart cath. The heart cath did not work so we are going
to have to have it done again. She is also not gaining weight
do to her syndrome. This has been a really hard struggle. They
are talking about more open heart surgeries as she gets older.
Please pray for my daughter to start gaining weight and grow.
